  1. Day 1 Arrival And Transfer To Darjeeling

    Meet our delegate on your arrival at Bagdogra airport/ Jalpaiguiri railway station/ Tenzing Norgay bus stand and start your journey to Darjeeling.

    Darjeeling is a beautiful scenic town in the Indian territory of West Bengal. It is famous for its tea industry, enchanting Kanchenjunga peak (world’s third-most astounding mountain peak) and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its breathtaking natural surroundings, it is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in India.  Bagdogra is the entryway to the excellent north Bengal and Sikkim. You will surely be transfixed by the mesmerizing mountain range of the region. Be prepared to treat yourself with everything that they offer: from the hazy woods of the Dooars to the lavish tea slants of Darjeeling to the mountain pools of Sikkim. The best time to be in Bagdogra, Darjeeling or Sikkim is late spring (between March-June) and from September to early December. The region is well-networked with air route and railways for smooth traveling.

    Check-in at a pre-booked hotel and relax. In the evening either you can loosen up or go out for shopping. Some of the Darjeeling’s local delights are amazing kitchen wares, variety of teas, brass statue, woven fabrics and shimmering accessories.

  2. Day 2 Darjeeling Local Sightseeing (Half Day)

    Wake up early at around 3:45 AM to start the drive for visiting Tiger hill, located at height of 8,500ft above the sea level. The entire valley is enveloped with striking natural beauty. Explore the highest point of the region and adore enchanting views from top the snow-covered Himalayan ranges and Kanchenjunga (the third highest peak). At times you will feel you are traveling in the middle of clouds. If luck favors and it’s a clear day, you can see the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest.

    Afterwards, visit Ghoom Monastery, War Memorial and Batasia Loop on your drive back to hotel. The Ghoom monastery which is a Tibetan Buddhist Gompa is the most sanctified monasteries of Sikkim. Its walls are decorated with lovely thangkas, rare Tibetan Buddhist paintings illustrating various Buddha deities, historical figures and geometric designs. You can also find rare Buddhist manuscripts inside the monastery. Another attraction, Batasia Loop, a scenic garden which is home to War Memorial was built to pay tribute to the brave Gorkha soldiers of Darjeeling.

    Get back to the hotel room, have breakfast, relax and get ready for local sightseeing in Darjeeling. Your trip today will include visits to some of the eminent places in Darjeeling including Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing and Gumbo Rock, Passenger Ropeway ,Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate, Natural history museum (Sunday closed) and Peace Pagoda.

    Listed among the is the largest high altitude zoo in India, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park is home to rarely seen and exotic species such as Red Panda, Siberian Tiger and Snow Leopard. It was specially established to conserve these endangered species.

    One of the biggest medium of employment, the sprawling tea estates of Darjeeling boasts plantation of diverse tea varieties in exotic flavors.

    Other places of interest-

    One of the finest ways to explore the beautiful Darjeeling is by Passenger Ropeway (India’s first passenger ropeway). Relish the beauty of sturdy snow-capped mountains, River Rangeet, green farms and scenic natural surroundings. Visit Bengal Natural History Museum displaying exotic variety of floral species. Peace Pagoda which was established by Nichidatsu Fuji as a symbol of world peace to unite people of all caste and religion is also another important place to visit in Darjeeling.

    Return back to your hotel and relax. Rest of the evening is free for you, either you can relax or just stroll around. Overnight stay in the hotel.

  3. Day 3 Transfer To Kalimpong (48km/ Around One And A Half Hour Drive)

    Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and get transferred to Kalimpong.

    Located on a ridge above Teesta River, Kalimpong is an amazing hill station, situated at a height of 1250m above the sea level. The hill station houses numerous beautiful ancient monasteries, colonial buildings, holy shrines and well-reputed educational institutions.

    The town is famous for its wonderful markets full of Tibetan jewelries, artifacts, copperwares, handicrafts, masks and items made from bone.

    Upon reaching Kalimpong, check-in at the prebooked hotel and relax. Evening is free at your leisure. You can stroll around and collect beautiful stories from the place. Overnight stay in the hotel.

  4. Day 4 Sightseeing In Kalimpong

    Fourth day is reserved to explore Kalimpong. The amazingly beautiful town is aesthetically located between Deolo and Dupin hills. Relish your breakfast and proceed through scenic road journey to Forest museum (closed on Thursday), Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr. Graham Homes (school), Durpin Monastery, Mangaldham and Pine view nursery.

    Ride through the highest point of the region to visit Deolo hill, located at 1704m above the sea level. It is among the two hills in between which Kalimpong town is setup. Relish some cherry time at Deolo hill, along with spectacular views of Kanchenjunga and surroundings.

    Next attraction to halt is Durpin Monastery. It is placed on Durpin Dara hill with two big cylinders each roughly 10ft high, on both the sides. As you turn the cylinders by a crank, a bell will ring on each turn. You also get to see a row of prayer wheels.

    One of the best features of Kalimpong is its numerous attractive nurseries. Visit the Pine view nursery boasting of a great collection of cactus throughout Asia. The amazing variety of cactus will leave you surprised with its presence in the hilly region.

    Get back to your hotel for overnight stay.

  5. Day 5 Transfer To Pelling

    On fifth day of your Darjeeling visit- Kalimpong- Pelling- Gangtok tour, check out from the hotel and start towards Pelling via Jorethang (a town in South Sikkim).

    Situated at a separation of 120 kms from Gangtok, Pelling is another quiet mountain town which lies in the western regions of Sikkim. This town is located at a height of 2000 mts (approx.) and presenting a spectacular view of snow-clad famous mountain ranges such as Mt.Kanchenjunga, Pandim, Rathong, and Siniolchu complemented by it fresh air.

    From well-known monasteries to pristine lakes, Pelling houses a number of attractions. The town’s major attraction includes exotic varieties of Rhododendron and orchids.

    Afterwards, check-in at a hotel and take rest. Evening is free for you for self-exploration, create memories and shop in charming local markets famous for hand woven carpets, traditional motifs, shawls and blankets in Lepcha leaves, Buddhist religious items, thangkas and paper products.

  6. Day 6 Local Sightseeing In Pelling (Full Day)

    Pelling is full of attractive places and at the end you will find even a day is less. Post morning breakfast; head out to explore the beautiful Pelling. The forested routes are enveloped with awe-struck natural beauty. The major tourist attractions in Pelling are Rimbi waterfalls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Khecheoplalri Lake, Khecheoplalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga waterfalls, Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdantse ruins.

    Khecheopalri Lake is one among the holiest lakes in Pelling, for Buddhist as well as Hindu community. The pristine lake is popular by different names such as Kha-Chot-Palri, wishing Lake and Sho Dzo Sho. Holding great spirituality and sanctity, the lake comes under Buddhist religious Pilgrimage circuit including Yuksom, Dubdi Monastery, Pemayangtse monastery, Rabdantse ruins, Sanga Choeling monastery and Tashiding monastery.

    Visit Pemayangtse Monastery; one of the striking Gompas, put up by Lama Lhatsun Chempo mainly for ‘ta-sang’ lamas (the purest of monks). Pemayangtse Gompa in Pelling boasts of several ancient Buddhist antique idols, scriptures and sculptures. The prime highlight of the monastery is a seven-tiered painted wooden structure portraying Guru Rimpoche’s Heavenly Palace, Santoplari. Late Dungzin Rimpoche took around five years to finish this structure single handedly.

    Further, visit the attractive Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, one of the famous tourist spots in Pelling. The sound of jingling waterfalls will soothe your senses. The natural beauty and the tranquil surroundings of the place makes every visitor fall in love with it.

    Declared as the monument of National importance by Archaeological Survey of India, Rabdantse ruins are one of the major tourist attractions of Sikkim. The ruins come under Buddhist pilgrimage that starts from Yuksom at Dubdi Monastery, then Norbugang Chorten, Tashiding Monastery, Pemayangtse Monastery, Sangachoeling Monastery, ending at Khecheopalri Lake. The place is reachable by approximately 2km trek from Pelling offering a panoramic view of dense jungles and snow covered mountains.

    Get back to the hotel for overnight stay. Rest of the evening is free to roam around or shop at vibrant bazaars.

  7. Day 7 Transfer To Gangtok/ Local Sightseeing In Gangtok (Half Day)

    On seventh day, post morning breakfast start your journey to Gangtok, famously known as the “Land of Monasteries”. The downtown territory of Gangtok has enormous government structures enlivened with conventional Buddhist images. It is also known for its educational institutions, striking valleys and wonderful sanctuaries. Gangtok is the most travelled destinations in North-East India, offering plethora of scenic landmarks and historical destinations.

    You can explore the essence of  Buddhism by visiting Rumtek Monastery; largest Gompa in Sikkim, famous Saramsa Garden, Fambong La Wildlife Sanctuary (wonderful sanctuary famous for varied flora and fauna) and Yumthang valley (the valley is home to Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary where there are 24 species of Rhododendron).

    Other prime attractions of Gangtok included in your tour are- Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom Emporium, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall and Flower Show.

    The Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms Emporium is the major shopping destination of Darjeeling. The center provides you several articles falling under your budget. Some of the items you may go for are Tibetan carpets, excellent handicrafts including Thankas, Choksee and locally made furniture.

    Do Drul Chorten is the magnificent stupa in Sikkim where you can see some Kangyur relics (holy books) and other religious objects. There are around 108 prayer wheels, which are turned during worship ceremony while chanting ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’ to invoke Bodhisattva.

    Enchey Monastery is believed to be constructed on a land blessed by Lama Druptab Karpo (a tantrik master); Enchey monastery belongs to Nyingmapa order of Vajrayana school of Buddhism. Structured in the form of Chinese pagoda, the monastery is highly revered and constitutes of shells which holds great importance among the Buddhist community.

    Afterwards, get back to your hotel. Rest or stroll around MG mall road or indulge in shopping of popular stuff such as handicrafts, locally made artifacts, Tibetan carpets, alpine cheese, Sikkim tea, black cardamom, shimmering jewelries and other traditional outfits. Overnight stay in the hotel.

  8. Day 8 Excursion To Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir (Full Day)

    Today, have breakfast and proceed for short trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.

    Tsomgo Lake in Gangtok is regarded as a holy lake among Buddhist located at around 38km away from the city center. Located on altitude of 12,400 ft. The lake gets its waters from the snow dissolving from the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could predict the future by concentrating on the shade of the lake’s waters. Usually, the lake is covered with snow throughout the year.

    You can indulge in yak or mule rides along the lake and adore the serene ambience.

    Near to Tsomgo lake is Baba mandir which is another pious shrine holding great importance. The shrine is settled at an altitude up to 1300ft on Nathula pass. Referred to as the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, the temple was put up in the memory of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier. The temple is now maintained by Indian army.

    Return back to the hotel room. Rest of the evening is free to stroll around or shop at bazaars. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

    Note: In case of landslide or due to any other reasons, if Tsomgo Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing would be provided.

  9. Day 9 Departure Gangtok To Siliguri (Around 115km/ Around Two Hrs. Drive)

  • For every cancellation an amount of INR 500 will be deducted as refund processing fee.
  • 50 % advance at the time of booking for confirmation and rest 50 % at the time of check in.
  • All applicable Transfers & Sightseeing by Scorpio /Xylo or similar which will not be at disposal and will be exclusively used for the guest as per the itinerary only (on point to point basis). This vehicle will also change sector wise.
  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks, etc. (to be borne by the clients directly on the spot).
  • Any increase in taxes or fuel leading to an increase in surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure
  • During season period the check-out time from the hotel maximum by 8:00 am as because of the heavy traffic issues.
  • During season period sightseeing for Ropeway (Outer View) will only be done. And if cable car rides, waiting charges will be applicable.
